Reply with quote | #1 | Avoid this campground if looking in Woodbine, MD:
This campground's staff can not be trusted to ensure your reservation is still good. We reserved a specific pull thru site over 1 month prior. Upon arriving and checking in, (and being told that if we wanted to extend, we should tell them as soon as possible and that the site was open several more days), we were taken to our spot - only to find out it was already occupied. The guide went back to the office and came back to tell us our reservation was lost and not entered into the system, and that we could have a back in spot or get a refund and leave....All after traveling a few hours to get there. After taking the back in spot, I went to talk to management and then I was told the occupant to our original spot had extended their stay, and we were out of luck - our reservation was not lost. This is a terrible way to treat customers. You think you have a spot, but you really don't. Had the camp ground been full - we would have been out of luck. I have been told, by other camp grounds that to extend would mean moving to another site because somebody else was coming in.
I would not recommend this camp ground, because the staff and manager lied (to us), and had a take it or leave it attitude. It was like the Seinfeld episode about taking a reservation but NOT HOLDING the reservation. Go elsewhere.
