The 9th National Rally is in planning as a location has not been decided yet.

We are all doing this for FREE and it does take time we work on these things when time permits stay tuned.

I would like to hold the 2011 National Rally in Tennessee.
I need names of great dealers in Tennessee, like John with Nationwide RV in Kansas City. I will contact them in regards to their participation in our National Rally.

I will also be looking for a couple of volunteers for the rally committee. Think about it, we can discuss it at our rally meeting at 2010 rally or you can PM me.

Steve, Norma, Richard, Carol or any of our Tennessee members. Do you have an idea where we could host our 2011 rally in your great state.
Let me know and/or bring information to Kansas City.
Thanks!

How about Tom Johnson in Marion NC. They have camp grounds in place and could handle a couple of hundred CC's.

My point about Tom Johnson is, for those that don't know, they one of the top 5 over all dealers (Highway's GOOD SAM) in the country and sells CC's in large numbers. Plus they have a decent camp ground set up for hundreds of RV;s.
Just my 2 cents

Russ and Laura,
Thanks for the suggestion. This is what we need, more input from members. Tom Johnson RV and this location was brought up at our meeting at this years rally. We decided at the meeting to try and hold the National Rally in more central locations, not to far east and not to far west. I'll bring up Tom Johnson's RV at our meeting in Kansas City again. Which everyone is invited to attend.
Anymore ideas for 2011 location? How about Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin.........anyone interested in going out west?

KY would be GREAT except there's no good RV park around here! The Corvette Museum is here, Mammoth Cave National Park is close, Nashville is 50 miles but RV parks - no good!

We have a KOA that is so-so and Beech Bend (amusement park and race track) is big but... We spent 3 months there while buying our house here and I wouldn't want to EVER stay there again!

And the local dealer does sell CCs but has zero repair facility, parts, supplies. He just refers you to the factory!

There are 3 parks just a mile or 2 from The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. And from there to the honkytonks downtown is about 10 minutes. Don't know about CC dealers there though.

Camping World is right there too (Music Valley Drive). Opryland Hotel with it's 8 acre atrium of plants is a sight to see and Opry Mills shopping is fun.

Can you tell we like Nashville? If it weren't for looking after Phil's elderly parents here in Bowling Green we would move to Nashville. Oh wait - probably not - we'd rather go fulltime

How about an Eastern Area gathering in the South East. There must be quite a # of CC around this area.
I realize the need to be near the center of the country for a national  which I hope to attend soon but haven't heard about the  gathering in the South East

Mark and I (as the Eastern Chapter Directors) have been trying to get someone to hold a rally in the SE part of the Eastern Chapter for quite sometime, but no one seems interested in stepping up to hold one there.  It's too far for us to drive at this point in time due to health issues, but anyone can set up a rally.  How about it Laurus?  This is your chance to hold a great rally!

Over the years, for our Eastern Rallies, we have switched back and forth from the east coast to the west side of the Eastern time zone....with VA and TN being the most south.  This coming year, Ed and Stacey have stepped up to help us out and will be holding the Eastern Rally possibly in Maine.  It would be great to have another rally in the southern part of the Eastern time zone!

We agree that the National Rally should be somewhat central if at all possible so that everyone in the country can have a fair chance to attend.

Take a chance and hold a rally.  You'll find out just how much fun you can have.

Just our 2 cents worth....
