Bruce, didn't say new controller worked OK, it still gave me the same problem as the old one did. Factory called yesterday but i won't have time to perform their requested tests till mid week. If you think it is the controller call Teconsha as I think it has a lifetime warranty, at least a very long warranty. Mine was done no charge so save your bucks. And I do have the Dodge so that may be part of the problem but why can I pull a bumper pull last year and almost jerk the bumper off stopping while no breaking feel with the Creek?  Will do the voltage tests requested then I guess back to Prodigy for some answers again.

Well we just got back from a trip.  I plugged the trailer in the plug at the bumper.  On the trip down it seems to work better I could actually feel it brake.  When we left to come home I could not feel it braking at first then after pulling for a little while I could feel it a little better.  I think we all have a common problem if we c an find it.

I think the brake shoes are glazing or getting grease on them because every since I pulled mine those couple blocks with the brakes locked they are working fine I've put about 1500 miles on the trailer and still no problem.  I did replace the emergency cable switch however I don't think that would change anything but who knows I'm not a mech.

Well when I tow back to Selma NC on Nov 23rd I will try plugging into the back plug at the bumper also and see if this makes a difference.

Brake problem, well I was checking my trailer light before I leave in the morning and discovered I have no left turn single or brake light on the trailer. The truck is ok since I am limited physically as to what can do I tried to track down the problem but just could not lay on the ground anymore.

I have no power in the truck trailer plug going to the left brake left and left turn single.

Now my truck they added a second plug in the inside truck bed up near the front side so you do not have to use the back trailer plug under the bumper.

The back plug under the bumper the wires come out of the plug and go into some sort of BIG junction plug I think that goes to the side plug in the truck neither plugs have power to he left brake light or left turn single.

Must be something in that BIG junction box if I could stand to be under the truck long enough with the test light I am sure I could track down the problem but can't lay under there anymore.

QUESTION does anyone know if maybe that could be my braking problem not sure how the electric brakes get power from the prodigy controller maybe this means only my right brakes are working on the trailer and that would explain why I can hardly feel the brakes come on with the manual lever anyone know?

I will take it to Selma NC tomorrow the truck is fine so when I get home I will take the truck into the chev dealer and get them to see way there is no power going to he left brake light and turn single in the trailer plug or socket.

Sounds like a wiring problem to me. But here is a thought, if the truck's tail light is out will you still get power to the trailer tail light? I don't know if there is a connection there or not. Like the old Christmas tree lights, one bulb goes out and all after that go out. Wouldn't it be nice if it was something that simple. Just a wild idea that may be worth checking. Of course if you vehicle is like mine if the bulb is bad the turn signal just keeps on bliniking on the dash and it is easy to see. Don't know if chevys do that or not.

My truck lights work fine all of them.

The problem is there is no power in the truck trailer plug female for the right side of the trailer except the parking light for the right does work.

But no power in the trailer plug for the right brake light or right turn single.

Not sure if that means also that there would be no power going to the right brakes on the trailer?

Prodigy is closed on weekends.

bruce, the power for your brakes comes from the brake switch by the foot pedal. there is another power line from the battery. having your light out on the trailer doesn't have anything to do with brake power. if you have the wiring diagram for how the plug is wired, or find the post that the light blue wire goes to, test that. step on the brake and ground the test light it should light. the blue wire is your brake power.
i would think it is a wiring problem under your truck. it might be where they wired the bed plug to the bumper plug. if they didn't seal the connection it might have failed. di you check both of your plugs, bumper and bed?

How about a bad filament in the bulb?

Yes both plugs have no power to the right brake light and right turn signal since the truck lights are ok all of them I think it is where they jumped the side plug they put into the bed they have a mess back there jug bundle if wires I just could not lay enough to take it all apart to test it.

I may get my son to check it out for me when I get home if it is not to cold back in PA.

I was not sure thought maybe that was my brake problem oh well back to the drawing board but also have to get the lights working.

I will work on the truck but will not have my trailer letting it in NC.
