So, I see that some of you go to this park for the winter.

My ??? is about how full the park usually is in the winter. If we showed up without a reservation and wanted to stay a week (or more if we like it there) would we likely get in or be disappointed? Or do we really need a reservation?

We were going to the FL Panhandle again but have been discussing seeing something new for a change.

We tried to get a spot there last week and they said they were full after Nov 1st so we went down to Rockport to a place called Drifters and they have openings and some of the people say there is some open spaces most of the time.  This is pretty nice here. http://www.driftersresort.com/

There is also a new RV Park just down the road right at the beginning of Ingleside you should be able to get in there.

Jim & Rosie stayed there last year forget he name.

Ransom Road we have stayed at for a couple winter now after iv 1st it is usually full however you never know you may get in for a week?

But there are a couple new RV Parks in that area and more being built.

Also just down the road the VFW put in a new RV Park any Vet can stay there.

Bruce - what do you know about the VFW Park? I am a member - in fact on the House Comittee for my Post!

Is the park nice enough to want to be there for a month??? Or should I search on? Does it look as good as Drifters?

The VFW has paved sites.  They were working on it last season. I am not sure if they have a club house/laundry etc.  It just opened last year.  Have driven thru it, and it looked nice. You would have to call them for details.

The new RV park Bruce was referring to, is just down the road from Ransom Road RV Park where we stay. It is called Redfish Bay RV Park.

The last  new the VFW did have a laundry naturally the VFW main building and concrete pads. Last year the road going in and out was still sand not sure what it is like now.

I do not think there sites were very deep or long either but never stayed there and they were still working on it.

Look up the Ingleside VFW they had a section on their for there RV Park.
